The Challenge In the past few years many of their customers have chosen card payments as their preferred method of billing, and there isn’t a good off the shelf billing platform that can manage their complex payment flow. To manage their operations, Cookers needed to build additional systems to handle the customer data and secure payment processing. The management team wanted to decrease the number of manual tasks, create a smoother reconciliation process and give their team more time to focus on customer service needs rather than customer payments. The Project To build an advanced payment infrastructure solution that could support their back office to manage payments more efficiently. The Cookers team worked together with ArtsPay’s payment team to design and develop an automated process unique to their business. Now, their payments system connects their custom ERP system with the payment gateway and automatically charges customers based on their account information and recent deliveries. Payment Features The system leveraged important features such as scheme tokenisation, least cost routing and an automated error handling process to keep track of all their payments and ongoing requirements. Each day the system supports more and more customers and keeps the back-office payment team on top of their nominated accounts. The Result The project focused on reducing manual tasks, cutting down processing time and maintaining current credit card costs. - A significant reduction in staff time required to process credit card transactions, follow up on overdue accounts and reconciling accounts.
