Dining App

This guide will help you set up and start using the Clover Dining App with your ArtsPay Clover products. Through the Dining App, you can build your floor plan, set up coursing, and create special menus for public holidays/Sundays. This is only available for merchants on Table Service Restaurant subscription. If you need help setting up your POS, please go to Clover POS to get started.

🍽️ Step 1: Install Clover Dining

  1. On your Clover device, open More Tools.
  2. Search for Clover Dining and install the app.

🚀 Step 2: Launch and start setup

  1. Open the Clover Dining app.
  2. Tap “Let’s Get Started” to begin the setup.

🗺️ Step 3: Build your floor plan (Sections + Tables)

Create Sections
  1. Tap the green plus (+) button.
  2. Select Add Section.
  3. Enter a name (e.g., “Main Dining Room”, “Patio”, “Bar”) and tap Save.
Add Tables to a Section
  1. Open the section you want (e.g., “Main Dining Room”).
  2. Tap the green plus (+) button again.
  3. Choose Add Table.
  4. Enter a table name/number.
  5. Select a table shape (e.g., square, round) and set the number of seats.
  6. Tap Save.

✏️ Step 4: Edit your floor plan (later, if needed)

  1. Open Clover Dining.
  2. Tap the Menu button (three horizontal lines).
  3. Select Floor Plan.
  4. Make changes and save.
🍽️ Step 5: Set up coursing
  1. Go to Settings → Coursing.
  2. Choose how many courses you want (e.g., 3-course or 5-course).
  3. Select whether courses should:
    • fire automatically on a schedule, or
    • be fired manually by staff.
  4. Tap Save.

Important note about subscriptions

Merchants on the Clover Table Service Restaurant subscription can publish menus and have access to Clover Dining.

🗓️ Step 6 (Optional): Public holiday / Sunday menu pricing

To implement public holiday or Sunday pricing, create a separate menu (you are adjusting prices, not adding a surcharge).

Create a new menu
  1. Go to Items → Menu.
  2. Duplicate the Default POS Menu.
  3. Name the new menu (e.g., “PH Menu”).
  4. Select the newly created menu.

When you publish a menu from the Default POS Menu option, this is taken from your current inventory.

Adjust prices
  1. Click Categories and Items → Edit.
  2. Increase prices by 15% for public holidays (or your chosen percentage).
  3. Click Save.
Switch menus on your Clover device
  1. Open the Register app.
  2. Tap the three-dot icon (top-right).
  3. Tap Switch/Change Menu → select the new menu.
  1. Go to Payment Receipts.
  2. Add a note like: “price includes public holiday surcharge (15% surcharge)” to clarify the pricing.
